Starting on Saturday morning the University of Gothenburg was exposed to overload attacks. This led to the university's external website being periodically difficult to access. During the afternoon, the problems were solved.

On Saturday The University of Gothenburg was hit by so-called overload attacks. This meant that some of the university's servers were attacked by so much data traffic at the same time that they became unreachable.

During the afternoon the website www.gu.se was working again. The IT unit has stepped up the surveillance in case the problems recur.
