SCC researchers publish two papers in the scientific journal Cell

Martin Bergö och Volkan Sayin at Sahlgrenska Cancer Center talk about their research, which shows new results regarding the basic understanding of the spreading of lung cancer.

This Swedish study, lead by Martin Bergö, as well as an American study (where Sayin is co-author as well) show that the lung cells use antioxidants to increase use and uptake of sugar and therefore spreads within the body. This opens up to new strategies of lung cancer treatments.
