SCC Director Jonas Nilsson was mentioned on the list of the 100 most cited researchers in the field of Medicine.
Among researchers from GU Jonas Nilsson was one of only two cancer researchers - as defined by receiving grants from Swedish Cancer Society - that made it into the list of the 100 most cited researchers in the field of Medicine.
– While it is great to learn that our science is among the most well-cited in Sweden I must say that this list represents a snapshot of a specific time period and that the list may look completely different the next time. For instance, the most cited article from GU ever, the 2007 Nature Cell Biology paper by Jan Lötvall, would have made him on the list if the timespan would have been 15 years, explains Professor Nilsson.
