At the Department of Earth Sciences, a total of approximatelly 75 teachers, researchers and technical/administrative staff teams up in a dynamic, international academic environment. Our Department works to achieve diversity in the workplace and to create a family-friendly environment. In addition, Sweden has generous family leave and childcare policies.

We train Earth scientists and geographers, who can meet the increased need for geoscientists and geographers in society. Our three priority research themes are "Climate and Climate Change", "Earth Surface Processes" and "The Geosphere".
