An evening mingle at the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce and study visits to Liseberg and GoCo Health Innovation City are some of the activities that the students will take part in.
"All study visits are made with a focus on sustainability. Liseberg, which is a huge employer, aims to become the world's most sustainable amusement park. We will get to learn more about how they work with environmental issues and social sustainability," says Anna Bellomi, one of the project leaders for the international summer school.
Collaboration with the business sector and the region will give students a broad picture of the sustainable Western Sweden and will showcase Gothenburg as an attractive study destination.
"We show students that if they continue their studies at GU, there are great career opportunities in the region," says Anna Bellomi.
High demand
The international summer school is popular among both prospective and existing partner universities and has a high number of applications, nationally and internationally. Exchange students from 70 partner universities were admitted this year, along with students who have applied in the national application round and who want an international experience at home,
The summer school runs between 3 July and 4 August 2023. In addition to the five courses, there is an extensive extracurricular programme of study visits and social activities.
