Center for Education and Research on Addiction

CERA – Centre for Research and Education on Risky Use, Harmful Use and Addiction – is an interdisciplinary research centre at the University of Gothenburg. We conduct research and education on alcohol, drugs, doping, tobacco, nicotine products, gaming and gambling, with a focus on prevention and psychiatric comorbidity.

In close collaboration with for example the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland, the Västra Götaland Region, Sahlgrenska University Hospital and the municipalities of Västra Götaland, we develop and disseminate knowledge that strengthens preventive efforts and improves support and treatment. Through seminars and broad collaboration, we contribute to ensuring that research findings are translated into practice and generate societal benefit.
