
Earth Science Centre
Earth Science Centre (Geovetarcentrum, GVC) is located right next to Wavrinskys plats. This is the home of the Department of Earth Sciences and the Department of Conservation.
The house has entrances on three different floor levels. Entering from the main entrance, you will find yourself on floor level 3, which is where the Department of Conservation is located. The Department of Earth Sciences is located on floor level 4. The house is equipped for different forms of activities such as lab work and creative activities.
Ljusgården
This open space in two levels with lots of natural light, is the student lounge. There are plenty of places to sit, either to study or eat your lunch. There are also two kitchenettes equipped with fridges and microwaves.
Other functions in the builing
You will also find the Faculty Office of Science, the Gota Student Union- Natural Science section and the Geological Survey of Sweden in this building.
Public transport
Several buses and trams stop at Wavrinskys plats and you can easily get around town. Västtrafiks App "Travel finder" is an easy alternative that shows you in real time when buses and trams depart, as well as which route they will be taking.
Restaurants and shops
Right around the corner from Geovetarcentrum are some restaurants (either sit down or for take away) and shops, as well as a grocery store.
