Short description

An intellectual disability always has negative effects on communication capacity and the disability in combination with a temporary or permanent hearing loss highly influence the communication possibilities for the affected person. Consequently, an adapted and available hearing care is very important.
Within the project persons in leading positions in the regional hearing care as well as audiologists will be interviewed through Web-based surveys about contributions offered children, young people and adults with intellectual disability.

Results from the survey will be compiled and presented in a scientifically journal. Draft to a national hearing care program for the population with intellectual disability will be worked out.
