A more efficient collection of batteries with the consumer in focus

The aim of the project is to strengthen the infrastructure for the collection of loose and device-borne small batteries. One goal is an increased understanding of how the motivation, routines, formation of knowledge and technical systems interact, and how to influence these different parts to create a more attractive and efficient system for the collection of loose and device-based small batteries.
The study includes mapping and case descriptions of how different municipalities handle the collection, ethnographic studies of practices for handling and recycling small batteries in different types of households and a larger national survey of households' battery management.
