Initiate a new bilateral agreement

The University places a priority on partnerships that have the potential to be long-term and mutually beneficial and in line with our institutional values and goals. Potential partners are encouraged to contact us directly to explore the available options.
Possible areas for cooperation include, but are not limited to:

University-wide agreements

The University of Gothenburg generally prefers to establish university-wide agreements when there is interest from a number of faculties. University-wide agreements are meant as umbrella agreements and it is acceptable to maintain or establish faculty or institutional agreements under the university agreement.

For university-wide agreements; please contact elin.fransson@gu.se or klara.ljungberg@gu.se at the International Centre.

Faculty agreements

In the case of desired or established cooperation between one faculty to another a faculty agreement is preferred. This can also be the case if the cooperation encompasses more than one institution at a faculty.

Contact the international coordinators at the faculties.

Departmental agreements

Cooperation limited to a specific department is generally limited to departmental agreements. If the agreement can entail a number of departments then a faculty agreement may be a better fit.

Contact the international coordinators at the departments.

Erasmus inter-institutional agreements are made at the departmental or faculty level.

Other educational collaboration

For cooperation projects within programmes such as Nordic Master, Linnaeus-Palme or Erasmus+, please read more at the university Staff Portal (Choose English)
