Medicinareberget in Gothenburg is a hub for life sciences. Here you will find educations in health, healthcare and dentistry but also in natural sciences.
At Campus Medicinareberget you can study to become a biomedical analyst, physiotherapist, dentist, nurse or medical doctor, but you can also study subjects such as biology, molecular biology, chemistry, earth sciences, marine science, environmental science and cultural conservation.
Medicinareberget is located near the Sahlgrenska University Hospital, between Guldheden and Linnéstaden. The area also accommodates, among others, the National Dental Service's specialist clinics, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, the Swedish NMR Centre and the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular and Translational Medicine.
Medicinarelängan, Hälsovetarbacken, Odontologen, Natrium and Conference center Wallenberg are some of our existing premises on Medicinareberget.
Education in medicine and healthcare professions is mainly conducted in Medicinarelängan, at Hälsovetarbacken and at Odontologen. All of these buildings have modern lecture halls, well-equipped computer laboratories and functional study rooms.
Students of medicine and healthcare professions will have their practice in the clinical training centre, KTC, at Hälsovetarbacken. KTC consists of several patient rooms, an emergency room, an operating room, an X-ray room, a speech and hearing lab, a CPR room, a conversation room, a creation room, a medicine room, rinse, storage and several small rooms where you as a student at Sahlgrenska Academy can practice practical handling, care of the patient, conversations and team collaboration.
At Odontologen is Folktandvården's education clinic. If you are training to be a dentist or dental hygienist, you will treat patients here during the training.
The newly built house Natrium, which is adjacent to Medicinarelängan, brings together almost all education in the natural sciences. Here there are lecture halls, course labs, group rooms and study spaces.
