Biomedical photonics

Research group

Short description

Biomedical photonics deals with studies of light-matter interactions in the context of biomedical applications. The core technique of the group is multiphoton laser scanning microscopy (MPM). The research is centered around applications and development of the technology, as well as investigations related to the fundamental underlying mechanisms. Applications of interest are cancer diagnostics, drug delivery studies, and in vitro tissue models.
