Attending to Livelihoods

The re-search enquiry Attending to Livelihoods figures artistic methods for the re-cognition, re-description and re-contextualisation of co-nurturing practices and ways of knowing as it occurs in cultivation, with a special attention to the role of the cultivars; the cultivated plants. The enquiry unfolds through three artistic re-search projects involving cultivated habitats, cultivation techniques, historical re-search as well as narrative elaboration. The three artistic projects included in the enquiry investigate the ways that specific cultivars and their habitats become part of material practices that shape co-human livelihoods across vast expanses of space and time.
