About Johan Espenberg
Since feb 2022 I am a PhD-student at ASSESS – a research school at IPS. My thesis project is about assessment and measurement of epistemic knowledge in natural science and how PISA can contribute to this. Epistemic knowledge can be described as the answer to why we can say that we know something in natural science or why the products and processes in science are justified. It is closley related to the research area in science education - and teaching content - called Nature of Science (NOS).
I am also a teacher (since 2018) in the subjects physics, mathematics and science and society at upper seconday level (gymnasieskolan). I work part time at Bäckängsgymnasiet in Borås.
