Final production in opera
The bachelor's and master's programmes in opera present two works that together constitute the 2020 final production: Cimarosa's "L'Impresario in Angustie" and Puccini's "Suor Angelica". One is a twisted, but frighteningly realistic parody of what life behind the scenes in an opera house can look like. The second is a short but intense tragedy that takes place in a nunnery.
The final production is the largest stage project in opera education. Here, students get the chance to test everything they have learned over the past three years, and to show themselves to future employers. This production was played 4, 7, 8, 11, 12 December 2020 at the Academy of Music and Drama. But this year the performances were not open to the public. A performance was filmed and can be seen on our YouTube channel.
