HDK-Valand in Gothenburg

HDK-Valand’s environments in Gothenburg are located across two buildings in the city’s central areas. Together, they house teaching spaces, studios, specialised workshops and student-run galleries used within different programmes. As a student, you move between the buildings and work in environments adapted to your education and artistic practice.

Gothenburg as an artistic learning environment

HDK-Valand’s activities in Gothenburg offer a well-equipped artistic learning environment with close ties to the city’s cultural life. Through collaborations with Gothenburg Art Gallery, Hasselblad Center, Röhsska Museum, Röda Sten Art Centre, the Gothenburg International Biennial for Contemporary Art and Göteborgs Litteraturhus, the city becomes an active part of the educational context.
