Swedish Biodiversity Symposium
The inaugural Swedish Biodiversity Symposium took place on the 21 - 23 October 2025, and we are incredibly proud to have been a part of the organising and communication committees. This symposium will be biennial and we look forward to 2027!
The symposium operates at the interface between science and society with the theme of Society transformation - from knowledge to action. The broad theme and interdisciplinary approach will allow different stakeholders to meet and have in-depth discussions on issues such as conservation, genetic resources, evolution, decision-making, ecosystem services, nature-based solutions, restoration, monitoring, psychology, climate, land use, health, food security and more. The aim of the conference is to share and discuss scientific knowledge on biodiversity, discover new perspectives and strengthen collaborations to promote positive developments in the field.
The Swedish Biodiversity Symposium welcomes both national and international participants from academia, research institutions, government agencies, industry and non-profit organisations working with biodiversity.
Information on the programme and how to register for the conference will be available in spring.
