SamBio - Collaboration for Biodiversity

The loss of biodiversity is one of the greatest threats to our future. Even in Sweden, with a relatively low human population, there is a depletion of biodiversity. The SamBio project aimed to build and disseminate knowledge about why biodiversity is important and to generate a commitment to biodiversity in the region of Västra Götaland. The project was directed towards children and youth (schools and teachers) and the business sector. The project was a collaboration between researchers at the University of Gothenburg and several various public actors in the region, such as museums, aquariums, zoos, botanical gardens, and science centres.
