A fertilisation curve shows the optimum concentration of sperm for successful fertilisation. The coral Lophelia Pertusa is being studied at Tjärnö Marine Laboratory, and one of the goals is to produce a fertilisation curve for deep-sea coral so that the viability of coral reefs can be understood.
