Internships

Have you studied languages and want to apply them in a workplace setting? The Department of Languages and Literatures offers several Language in Practice courses that can be included in your Bachelor’s, Master’s (60 credits) or Master’s (120 credits) degree.

The purpose of the Language in Practice courses is to give you the opportunity to apply your language skills in a work situation, and to identify potential future career paths in Sweden or abroad. The courses also include seminars where you will have the opportunity to discuss your internship and submit a final report. In this way, the Language in Practice course also stimulates reflection on your future occupational role.

To be admitted to the courses, you must fulfil the entry requirements. In addition, an internship agreement must be drawn up between representatives of the internship host (employer) and the student that correspond to the content of the course. You can apply for a Language in Practice course before you have a signed internship agreement. You will then be admitted subject to a signed internship agreement. You must then send your signed internship agreement to the course coordinator as soon as it is ready, but at the latest just before the commencement of the course. You can be registered for the course only after the course coordinator has approved the internship agreement. Be proactive and plan well ahead as it can take time to find an internship opportunity and sort out all the practical details of your internship.

Application

  • You can apply by 15 April and 15 October, respectively, for each semester at www.antagning.se
  • A signed internship agreement must be submitted to the course coordinator at the latest at the commencement of the course.

Internship abroad

You can choose to do your internship abroad.
