Doctoral Studies

To solve the challenges of the future, we need deep knowledge combined with the ability to think innovatively. Third-cycle studies at the Faculty of Humanities gives you precisely these tools.

The Faculty of Humanities offers third-cycle studies in a wide range of subject areas including languages, culture, history, and philosophy. As a doctoral student at the Faculty, you will work alongside highly qualified researchers in interdisciplinary and dynamic research environments.

Critical reflection on humanity’s historical and cultural languages, how our societies develop and change, and how we relate to ourselves and to others often lie at the core of our research.

Our third-cycle study programmes aim to develop you into an independent researcher with a solid ability to communicate the knowledge you acquire. You will emerge from your studies ready for complex and qualified tasks in business, public administration, universities, and university colleges.
