Educational Infrastructure

Knowledge Lab supports teaching and learning activities across different levels of higher education.

It provides facilities for student-led initiatives, integration into course curricula, and the supervision of degree projects. The lab is equipped to serve as a site where students and teachers can work with design processes, digital tools, and collaborative forms of inquiry.

The educational use of the lab is not limited to hands-on access to technology. It also provides an academic space where theoretical and methodological perspectives from a range of disciplines can be explored in relation to digital practices. This includes questions arising within education, but also extends to other domains such as communication, design, cognition, and human-computer interaction. Emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and immersive environments are approached not as isolated technologies, but as settings in which knowledge, participation, and critical reflection are shaped and negotiated.

Activities supported include:

  • Integration into courses through workshops, laboratories, and project work
  • Access to design tools and prototyping equipment
  • Supervision and methodological support for student projects and theses
  • Exploration of ethical and infrastructural aspects of digital technologies across academic disciplines, including their influence on access, participation, and knowledge production
