Niklas Sörum är filosofie doktor i Etnologi samt forskare och föreståndare vid Centrum för Konsumtionsforskning, CFK, vid Göteborgs universitet.
Niklas är även lektor i företagsekonomi vid Högskolan i Borås.
Niklas forskar om konsumtionskulturens digitalisering och digital konsumentdata. Niklas senaste forskningsprojekt handlar om konsumtion av data-driven marknadsföring och insamling av digital konsumentdata.
Hans forskning har publicerats i vetenskapliga journaler som Consumption, Markets & Culture, Journal of Consumer Policy, Journal of Cultural Economy, Journal of Heritage Studies och Culture Unbound. Niklas har publicerat böcker på förlag som Ashgate och Routledge med fokus på konsumtionskultur.
