MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship is a prestigious grant that can be used to recruit talented early-career researchers from other countries to Sweden, or to give researchers based in Sweden the opportunity to conduct research in a non-European country.

It is possible to apply for the following two types of postdoctoral fellowships:

European Postdoctoral Fellowship – for incoming postdoctoral researchers to Sweden from another country. The research is conducted at a host institution for 12–24 months.

Global Postdoctoral Fellowship – for researchers based in Sweden who wish to carry out research in a non-European country for 12–24 months, followed by a mandatory 12-month return phase.

In both cases, the supervisor and the postdoctoral fellow apply jointly. The grant covers, among other things, living and mobility costs, as well as activities related to research, training, and networking.

To prepare the application properly, the potential candidate should contact the potential supervisor well in advance (during spring/summer).
