ESSENCE-Q barn

ESSENCE-Q barn är ett frågeformulär, vars syfte är att hjälpa kliniker och forskare att identifiera barn som kan ha någon form av störning som sorteras under paraplybegreppet ESSENCE.

Om ESSENCE-Q barn

ESSENCE-Q är ett screeningformulär utformat för att användas inom hälso-/kliniska och forskningsmiljöer i syfte att hjälpa personal inom barn- och skolhälsovård, kliniker och forskare att identifiera barn (i alla åldrar, men främst små barn) som kan ha någon form av ESSENCE-tillstånd och som därför bör genomgå ytterligare klinisk utredning.

Hur man poängsätter ESSENCE-Q barn

Räkna antalet JA-svar och KANSKE/LITE-svar. Alla barn som får ett (eller fler) tydliga JA eller tre (eller fler) KANSKE/LITE bör bedömas av en specialist inom barnutveckling eller screenas vidare av en sjuksköterska på barnavårdscentral.

Psykometriska egenskaper

ESSENCE-Q har använts som föräldraenkät och av kliniker i flera japanska, svenska, norska, slaviska och spanska studier och har visat sig ha goda psykometriska egenskaper.

Hur man använder ESSENCE-Q barn

ESSENCE-Q kan användas som en kort intervju (ledd av läkare eller psykolog/sjuksköterska i ett neuropsykiatriskt utredningsteam) eller som ett frågeformulär som fylls i av föräldrar. Det ska inte användas som ett diagnostiskt verktyg eller som en ersättning för diagnos, utan som ett screeningsinstrument.
