Om de medverkande

Giulia Meneghel 

PhD student in the Education Doctoral Program at UCM) since the 2023/2024 .Her doctoral thesis is being developed within the research group Technological Development, Sociocultural Exclusion, and Education. Her academic background began with a long-cycle degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education. She has complemented her education with two master’s degrees: a master’s in Models and Intervention Methodologies for Special Educational Needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Gifted Students, and a master’s in Teaching Italian Language and Culture to Foreigners (ITALS). She is currently enrolled in a training program in Qualitative Research at the Complutense University of Madrid.

Her professional experience has strengthened her commitment to teaching and research. Between 2018 and 2023, she worked as a primary and special education teacher across various curricular areas in public schools in Italy. In 2024, she successfully passed the national teacher examination for the state teaching corps in Early Childhood and Primary Education in Italy. In line with her academic background and experience, her research interests focus on inclusive education, student voice, and critical ethnography.

Ninni Lankinen  

Her research interests lie mostly in post-comprehensive educational choices among youth with migrant background. Her research on this falls in the field of sociology of education, and is connected to questions about gender, class, ethnicity and multilingualism. She is also interested in multilingual schools and their ways of supporting multilingualism and learning of the language of instruction.
