Social Science with a Specialisation in Educational Science
The doctoral programme aims to provide students with the opportunity to develop the ability to conduct independent research and development work in the social sciences within the field of educational science. The research area encompasses society’s political and economic structures as well as organisational, family, and individual levels.
The subject addresses fundamental issues concerning human experience and action – both as individuals and in interaction with others – as well as participation in social, cultural, political, and economic processes and institutions. Social Science with a Specialisation in Educational Science has a clear connection to the content of the school’s social studies subjects and the subject of civics, but also includes the study of various structural and institutional factors relating to the organisation of education and learning in society.
