CCI Data Management Plan
CCI ensures secure image data handling and streamlined processing workflows. We provide tailored solutions to maintain data integrity from acquisition through analysis and transfer, but we do not manage long-term storage after processing.
The image analyst at CCI can interact with users of different computational experience, and direct them to the use of commercial software with graphical user interfaces, or alternatively to custom-made solutions developed by the CCI staff.
Transfer server
For projects where users only need image acquisition, data is transferred from the microscopes to our server for download. CCI safeguards the data until it reaches the user’s storage solution, after which it is removed from our system.
Workstations
CCI provides access to dedicated workstations for image processing and analysis. Users can stream or transfer data to these workstations, perform their analysis, and then save processed data to their own storage via our transfer server
Processing Server & Remote Access
For complex analysis or large datasets, CCI offers custom software solutions and remote access to our HIVE server. We also collaborate with Cytomine to develop a web-based data browser for efficient interaction between users and our analysts. After processing, data is transferred to the user’s own storage
Data acquired outside of the CCI
CCI offers support for image analysis through two service models: consultation and full service. For details, visit the image analysis page.
- It is not allowed to store data on the microscope computers (for longer than it takes to safely transfer the data).
- It is not allowed to use any USB drives on the microscope computers. Therefore, use the CCI transfer server to transfer your data to your own computer.
- The CCI transfer server is only supposed to be used as a transfer server, i.e. you need to remove the data as soon as you have copied it to your computer. It is not allowed to store data on the server.
- You are not allowed to use the transfer server for anything else than microscopy data!
