Conference on technology, financial services and evolving societal needs
The conference is organized by The University of Gothenburg, in collaboration with the WFA Center for Finance and Accounting Research, The University of North Carolina, Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and The Review of Corporate Finance Studies (Society for Financial Studies). The focus is on the interaction between advances in technology and the evolution of financial service organizations, as they jointly determine how various societal needs are met with increasing efficiency and reach. Papers submitted to the conference may be submitted for review for possible publication in a Special Issue of The Review of Corporate Financial Studies.
The conference takes place on September 4–5, 2026, at the School of Business, Economics and Law, the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
The deadline for submitting papers is March 15, 2026
