Social Calendar
There is a social calendar for events around the conference, organised as follows:
Tuesday 30th June:
Anyone interested to meet for a drink the night before the conference can join some of the local organising committee who will be at Brewers Bar (Magasingatan 3, 411 18) at 17:00 for around an hour. We are happy to help groups organise evening plans for dinner during this hour.
Wednesday 1st July:
Excursion to two of the islands on the archipelago: Styrsö and Donsö. The ferry for Styrsö Bratten leaves from Stenpiren ferry terminal (10 minutes’ walk from the conference venue) at 17:00, arriving at Styrsö at approximately 18:00. Please be ready to leave the registration desk at 16:35 sharp. Ferry tickets can be purchased on the Västtrafik app (see our Travel page) and also with credit card on board. We suggest you bring your own food and drink. However, there are cafes and restaurants on both these islands. These islands are connected by a footbridge (see below).
For the return trip back to the city, we suggest any of the following boats leaving Styrsö Bratten (roughly one hour journey to Stenpiren, via a tram change at Saltholmen): 21:08, 21:51 or 23.26. These last of the two aforementioned ferries can be caught from Donsö island, twelve minutes earlier than from Styrsö Bratten (so 21:40 and 23:15).
Thursday 2nd July:
Conference dinner at Hotel Riverton (Stora Badhusgatan 26, 411 21), with a 19:30 sitting time.
Friday 3rd July:
For those hanging around the city for the remainder of Friday, feel free to gather around the reception desk after the conference close and we will help groups organise dinner plans for the evening.
