About Elinor Bexe Lindskog

Elinor Bexe Lindskog is Associate Professor (Docent) in Surgery at the University of Gothenburg and Senior Consultant at the Colorectal Unit, Sahlgrenska University Hospital. She is team leader for the CRS/HIPEC programme at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and holds the European Certification of Peritoneal Surface Oncology (ESPSO).

Her research focuses on personalised treatment of colorectal cancer, with particular emphasis on early-stage colorectal cancer and peritoneal metastases. Her translational research combines clinical studies with tumour biology, prognostic biomarkers, the tumour microenvironment and patient-derived experimental models. The overall aim is to improve prediction of prognosis and treatment response and thereby enable more individualised treatment.

In 2023, Elinor Bexe Lindskog was awarded the Swedish Cancer Society Junior Clinical Investigator Award (2023–2029) for her research programme on personalised treatment of colorectal cancer – Immunotherapy in colorectal cancerand Personalised cancer therapy in colorectal cancer – based on tumour-specific characteristics.

She is principal supervisor of three PhD students and a member of the Steering Committee of the Cancer Research South (CARES) School, a joint graduate research school in cancer research at the University of Gothenburg and Lund University. Within CARES, she is responsible for the third-cycle course Tissue and Liquid Biopsies in Cancer Research.
