Implementing Palliative Care in Hospitals: The Role of Palliative Care Consultation Teams

The project is designed to generate knowledge that can help address challenges in ensuring that people with progressive conditions receive palliative care during the final stage of life and that the place of end-of-life care and death more closely reflects patients’ preferences. The overall aim is to study the processes and outcomes associated with palliative care consultation teams as a strategy for implementing palliative care in hospital settings.
