Guest Researcher: Chang Yudi

Chang Yudi will be a guest researcher at the School of Global Studies during the academic year 2019-2020, with funding from the Project for International and Area Studies of China Scholarship Council.

Chang Yudi is a PhD candidate in international political economy at the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China, and during his time at the School of Global Studies, he will be working with the REGG research group under Professor Fredrik Söderbaum.

Chang Yudi's research interests cover IPE, comparative regionalism, regional and global governance, China, Europe, and Africa. His PhD project, Embedded Regionalism: A Comparative Study on Participation and Accountability of Regional Organizations in Africa and Asia, focuses on the public participation and accountability in regional international organizations and their influence on governance outcomes. Chang Yudi has previously been an exchange student in Finland (2015-2016). He has also contributed to policy research projects on the Belt and Road Initiative in Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies; a prestigious Chinese think tank in Beijing.
