Organisation

The Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts is lead by Dean Sanne Kofod Olsen and Pro-Dean Henric Benesch. The faculty's highest decision-making body is the Faculty Board. The various activities are organised into two departments

Departments

The departments conduct education, PhD education and research, and is led by a Head of Department. 

Management Team

The daily work is led by the management team.

Sanne Kofod Olsen

Has worked with contemporary art since the mid 90's, from an educational, curatorial and museumological perspective.

Sanne Kofod Olsen has previously been Vice-Chancellor at Det fynske Kunstakademi, Director at Museet for Samtidskunst and Vice-Chancellor at Det kgl. Danske Kunstakademis Billedkunstskoler.

She has a fil.kand (1996) and Mag.art. (2001) in Art History, from the University of Copenhagen.

Henric Benesch, Pro-Dean

Lecturer and researcher in design at HDK, Academy of Design and Crafts, with focus on critical and institutional perspectives on participation and knowledge.

Henric Benesch is trained as an architect at Chalmers University of Technology, where he has also been a project developer at the Center for Healthcare Architecture. He has also had various assignments linked to urban development processes and various forms of dialogue.

He has a PhD in design, from the University of Gothenburg (2010).

Olle Zandén, Assistant Dean Education

Associate professor in music education at the Academy of Music and Drama, and researches, among other topics on music teachers' practice and agency, and communication and meaning making in the music classroom. 

Olle Zandén has previously worked at Stockholm University and Linnaeus University, he is engaged in the European Association for Music in Schools'  scientific board, and he has had expert assignments for both the Swedish National Agency for Education and the the Swedish Institute for Educational Research.

Olle Zandén holds a Ph. D. in music pedagogy from the University of Gothenburg (2010).

The Faculty Board

The faculty's highest decision-making body

The Faculty Board is:

  • responsible for strategic planning, overall governance and quality assurance of education, research and collaboration.
  • a collegiate body with a majority of members with scientific and artistic competence.
  • providing a forum for discussion and coordination of the Faculty's activities.

Faculty Office Fine, Applied and Performing Arts

The Facultys' office provides operational support, primarily to the faculty management and in certain faculty-wide assignments.
