Organisation

The Artistic Faculty is lead by acting dean Henric Benesch and acting pro-dean Maria Bania. The faculty's highest decision-making body is the Faculty Board. The various activities are organised into two departments

Departments

The departments conduct education, PhD education and research, and is led by a Head of Department. 

Management Team

The daily work is led by the management team.

Henric Benesch, Acting Dean

Lecturer and researcher in design at HDK, Academy of Design and Crafts, with focus on critical and institutional perspectives on participation and knowledge.

Henric Benesch is trained as an architect at Chalmers University of Technology, where he has also been a project developer at the Center for Healthcare Architecture. He has also had various assignments linked to urban development processes and various forms of dialogue.

He has a PhD in design, from the University of Gothenburg (2010).

The Faculty Board

The faculty's highest decision-making body

The Faculty Board is:

  • responsible for strategic planning, overall governance and quality assurance of education, research and collaboration.
  • a collegiate body with a majority of members with scientific and artistic competence.
  • providing a forum for discussion and coordination of the Faculty's activities.

The Artistic Faculty Office

The Faculty's office provides operational support, primarily to the faculty management and in certain faculty-wide assignments.
