Histology
Researchers working with tissue samples have access to a supportive and well-equipped environment as well as comprehensive expertise and support throughout the histology workflow, from sample preparation and sectioning to staining and slide scanning, facilitating the generation of high-quality data from tissue samples.
Research support for histology
Support is available for both researchers who are new to histology and those with extensive experience. Hands-on training, practical guidance, and flexible services can be tailored to the specific requirements of each project. Assistance may be provided throughout the entire histological workflow or for individual steps, including tissue sectioning, staining, and slide scanning.
Initial free-of-charge consultation
A complimentary 20-minute initial consultation is available to discuss project requirements and identify the most suitable methods and workflow for the samples. Training and guidance in the use of available instruments can also be provided to support independent operation.

Equipment
The facility is equipped with modern instrumentation, including automated tissue processors, microtomes, a cryostat, a vibratome, automated staining systems, and a Zeiss Axioscan 7 slide scanner.

Training
The training cost is SEK 620 per hour in personnel fee plus instrument fee per hour.
Research support & staff assistance
The price for additional assistance is SEK 620 per hour in personnel fee, in addition to instrument fees.
Examples of support offered: sectioning, staining, data interpretation.
Cancellation
You can cancel your booking until four hours before your starting time. For late cancellations, email julia.scheffler@gu.se and let us know which time slot you want to cancel and the reason for the cancellation. Late cancellations are charged.
