About us

The Department of Earth Sciences is a part of the Faculty of Science at the University of Gothenburg. We conduct research and education in Earth Sciences and Geography. We have Bachelor and Master’s programmes, as well as third-cycle education.

Our strong research areas are Climate and Climate Change, The Geosphere​ and Earth Surface Processes. We have about 400 students and 70 teachers, researchers and technical/administrative staff. Our facilities are situated in the building Natrium, Campus Medicinareberget, University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
