Medical Radiation Sciences
Welcome to the research area of Medical Radiation Sciences, where research and education are conducted in radiophysics.
Welcome to the research area of Medical Radiation Sciences, where research and education are conducted in radiophysics.
On this page you can learn about our research, our dissertations, research groups, research portraits and the education we contribute to.
Our research is conducted within most branches of radiophysics, such as dosimetry, detectors and measurement techniques, radiobiology, and radiation protection; as well as applications in radioecology, radiation protection preparedness, nuclear medicine (diagnostics and therapy), X-rays, MRIs, and radiation therapy (external and brachytherapy).
Here you will find upcoming doctoral thesis defenses within the subject area, as well as some of the most recently completed ones, where doctoral students are interviewed about their research.
Our educational programs are designed for those curious about radiation and seeking more information, as well as for those considering pursuing a degree in radiophysics. For those interested in working with radiophysics in healthcare, there is an educational program that offers the opportunity to become a certified hospital physicist.
