About Therese Bäckman

I work as Head of Department and Senior Lecturer in public law at the Department of Law, School of Business, Economics and Law. My research focuses on administrative law, with particular emphasis on areas such as social law and policing. I have, among other topics, examined personal assistance and police work in relation to social services. My research includes empirical elements because I am interested in the practical application of the law.

Because of my duties as Head of Department, my teaching is currently limited. However, I supervise degree theses, make occasional contributions to the law programme, and teach at the police education programme, University of Borås.
