Location

Eastern Gothenburg includes the residential areas Kastanjebacken, Kviberg, and Studiegången. These neighbourhoods offer a peaceful setting with easy access to central Gothenburg. Kviberg and Studiegången are located along tram lines 6, 7, 8 and 11, with direct routes to the city centre and university campuses such as Chalmers, Medicinareberget, and Vasaparken. Kastanjebacken is situated just north of Gamlestaden, with good connections via tram and commuter train from Gamlestaden station.

Commerce

Daily shopping needs are met with nearby grocery stores and local services. Kviberg offers a supermarket and small eateries, and is known for its large sports complex with cafés on site. Kastanjebacken, located near Gamlestaden, has access to a range of shops and restaurants including larger chain stores. Studiegången is quieter but has walking distance to tram stops that quickly take you to Gamlestaden's broad commercial area or central Gothenburg.
