
Interpretation in Opera 1
No fees are charged for EU and EEA citizens, Swedish residence permit holders and exchange students.
Summary
The course is aimed at those who wish to further pursue deeper knowledge in singing, interpretation, stage work and opera repertoire. You should already have a bachelor's degree from an opera college, or equivalent studies.
About
The course contains individual singing and rehearsal lessons where you work with the interpretation of an opera repertoire. You will also receive individual supervision from an opera director, and the opportunity to participate in the education's master classes led by guest teachers.
Within the framework of the course, there may be an internship at an opera house or the opportunity to play a role in one of the education's productions. You present the course through a stage concert or an opera performance.

Assessment of qualifications
The singing audition for the spring semester 2022 will be carried out digitally. Eligible applicants will receive a link to SlideRoom on 21 October, where two optional arias must be uploaded. Last day to upload the work samples is 27 October.
Selection
Eligible applicants will be called to an audition after the last application date on which the selection is based. Ranking is done after assessed vocal skills.

The Academy of Music and Drama operates from four locations in Gothenburg: Eklandagatan 86, Åvägen 24 (Brewhouse), Vasagatan 50 (HDK-Valand) and Triörgatan 1 (Andra stället).
