R-QRM Courses
R-QRM offers courses throughout the academic year, with two to three courses per semester, and they are largely applied in nature. Teaching typically combines online preparation with intensive on-campus or hybrid course meetings, followed by continued online activities.
R-QRM builds on the previous QRM course package and offers a structured course programme with progression from foundational to advanced methods, with a strong focus on register-based analysis.
Basics Package
Courses introducing essential quantitative skills and register-data foundations, including:
- Basic Statistics for the Educational Sciences
- Multiple Regression Analysis
- Introduction to Register-Based Educational Research focusing on Database Construction and Data Management
Advanced Package
Courses focusing on methods particularly suited for longitudinal and register data:
- Longitudinal and Panel Data Analysis
- Causal Inference Techniques for Educational Research
- Geometric Data Analysis
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Target Group
R-QRM is open to researchers at different career stages, including:
- Doctoral students admitted to postgraduate education
- Postdoctoral researchers and early-career scholars
- Senior researchers, lecturers, and supervisors seeking advanced or updated methodological training
- Researchers from related disciplines with an interest in education
Participants from outside Sweden are welcome.
