Introduction to Empirical Analysis with R, 2,5 credits
The course Introduction to Empirical Analysis with R is a third-cycle course that provides an applied introduction to the statistical environment R for educational and social science research, and the basics of working with data in RStudio.
The course is designed to give doctoral students and researchers a practical overview of how R can be used for empirical data analysis, and to support participants in developing a foundation for further quantitative and register-based studies within the R-QRM research school.
The course introduces fundamental concepts in R and helps participants develop practical skills in importing, handling, and describing data, computing descriptive statistics, and creating visualisations. The course places strong emphasis on hands-on learning, allowing participants to actively work with data while reflecting on the applicability of R for their own research questions.
