Call for papers
Here you'll find information on how to submit a conference contribution to NORKOM – from thematic focus and submission formats to key deadlines and practical instructions for registration.
We welcome submissions to the Nordic Local Government Conference!
What unites participants at the conference is a shared interest in studying municipalities, regions, and other forms of local and regional public administration in the Nordic context.
Common themes include local democracy, administration, public finance, leadership and governance, party systems, multi-level governance, municipal structures, and reforms. Topics such as gender equality, sustainability, digitalization, and security also fall well within the scope of the conference – as long as the focus is on the public sector at the local or regional level.
We encourage a wide diversity of methodological approaches, theoretical perspectives, and thematic angles. The conference is interdisciplinary and welcomes contributions from all academic fields.
You are welcome to submit work at various stages – from early ideas and working papers to completed articles. Both empirical and theoretical studies are welcome.
