More about us and our collaboration
We distinguish ourselves from many other actors working on issues related to gender equality, gender and working life.
Our activities are research-driven, part of the University of Gothenburg and have the role of a co-operation body in the Nordic region. We participate in several international collaboration projects and have the task of being Sweden's expert function for gender and gender equality in the European Research Area (ERA). The combination and breadth of these various elements distinguishes us from many other organisations working on similar issues.
What can we contribute?
We have many years of experience of collaboration in national, Nordic and international contexts.
We participate in networks, alliances and consortia where our knowledge is in demand. There, we contribute our knowledge in expert groups, at conferences and in advisory bodies. We also provide expert support in collaborative projects and carry out comparative analyses, systematic research reviews and research projects.
Our staff have experience of participating in various collaborative projects in national, Nordic and European assignments.
The secretariat employs people with expertise in areas such as research, analysis, coordination, collaboration, communication and project management. Several of the secretariat's analysts have PhDs and expertise in fields such as work science, sociology, gender studies, philosophy and educational work.
Through collaboration, we connect relevant actors at national, Nordic and international levels.
Our nationally and Nordic-developed knowledge is put to direct use and deepened in a European context. We participate in several international collaboration projects and have been assigned the role of national expert organisation for gender equality and gender in the European Research Area (ERA). Through collaboration, we develop both our own activities and those of our partners.
