Developing an internationally validated algorithm to allocate patients with congenital heart disease to the appropriate level of care
To provide people with congenital heart disease with the most appropriate care, this project aims to develop and test a strategy for risk legislation, based on clinical results and healthcare costs for patients in Sweden and Belgium.
The ultimate goal is to develop an empirically based algorithm that guides clinicians, administrators and politicians to allocate patients to the most optimal level in terms of the best clinical outcomes at the lowest cost.
