Helena Hellgren is a doctoral student in Education, specialising in Special Education at the Department of Education and Special Education, University of Gothenburg. She has previously worked as a vocational teacher at upper secondary vocational education and adult education, specialising in craft florist. Since 2017, she has worked half-time as a lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, with course leader assignments and teaching on the programme. Her latest education is a Master's programme in pedagogy, specialising in action research.
Research interests
Helena's research interests revolve around inclusive education, learning environments, vocational education, as well as extra adaptations and special support in vocational education. The thesis work is an ethnographic study focusing on support in vocational education in school and in the workplace.
