About Erik Winerö
Erik’s research focuses on how generative artificial intelligence influences assessment practices in schools. He examines how emerging technologies reshape teachers’ work with assessment and the implications this has for professionalism, validity, and conceptions of knowledge. Erik is a qualified upper secondary school teacher in Swedish and Religious Education and has, since 2020, been a doctoral student at the Department of Applied Information Technology at the University of Gothenburg. He is part of the graduate school CUL (Centre for Educational Science and Teacher Research) and affiliated with the graduate schools UPGRADE and ASSESS. His main supervisor is Sofia Serholt, and his co-supervisors are Johan Lundin and Mattias Rost.
