Global Studies: Key Concepts
Om utbildningen
During the course, you will be introduced to key concepts and theories in the study of globalization. Taking an interdisciplinary approach, drawing from human ecology, peace and development studies, and social anthropology, we will explore major debates on global interconnectedness and pressing global issues.
You will be encouraged to think critically about the processes and narratives of globalization and examine how they shape different aspects of social life around the world. After a broad introduction, we will take a closer look at globalization through the lens of food and agriculture, giving you concrete examples of how global dynamics influence everyday life.
Teaching combines lectures and seminars, with the possibility of using audio-visual exercises to support learning. The course is taught in English and welcomes both Swedish and international students.
