Camilla Sarner: Education paths in the music field
Doctoral thesis in music pedagogy by Camilla Sarner.
Educational paths in the music field are examined with the aim of contributing knowledge that can strengthen and expand recruitment to higher music education. The specific purpose of the thesis is to listen to musician students' strategies for access, participation and recognition in the music field and to understand the conditions and logics that govern the field. Bourdieu's theory is used to explain these perspectives sociologically.
